Yu-Hsuan Chen is a set designer who works in theater, dance and film. She obtained her BA in Drama and Theater from National Taiwan University. She is now living in New York City and pursuing her MFA in set and production design at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Selected theater credits include: Caucasian Chalk Circle (NYU 5th Floor Theater, NYC), Seven Deadly Sins & Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Columbia University Shapiro Theater, NYC), A Bright Room Called Day (NYU Shubert Theater, NYC), The Woman in the Window (NTU Theater, Taiwan) and The Yearbook (Taipei Stock, Taiwan).
Her film experiences include the set designer in feature film KANO (Taiwan) and Conspiracy (Taiwan). Selected short film credits include: Léa ( 2016 Cinequest Film Festival), Cheongsam (NYC), and The Sweet Sublime (NYC). Spec commercial “Music Everywhere” is shortlisted at the AICP Awards and won a prize at the Porsche Ad Awards in Ludwigsburg, Germany.
