SYDNEY GALLAS is a New York based costume designer. She packed her bags for New York at age 17 to attend NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where she studied directing and design at Playwrights Horizons Theater School.
There she fell in love with New York and remained in her adopted city for six years before applying to Yale, learning the craft of the costume designer. She designed everything she could while assisting on Broadway and at respected institutions such as Williamstown Theater Festival, McCarter Theater Center, The Public Theater, and New York City Opera.
Yale credits include the world premiere of Jihae Park’s Peerless at Yale Repertory Theater, as well as Emily Zemba’s Deer and the Lovers, Shakespeare’s Macbeth, and Brendan Pelsue’s adaptation of Don Juan.
