Jean Kim

Jean Kim, Yale

Jean Kim, trained as an Illustrator at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), and as a Set Designer at Yale School of Drama (YSD), is eager to explore her caliber in the realm of tales.

Her theatrical credits include Cymbeline at Yale Repertory Theater, Winter’s Tale and The Seagull (Yale School of Drama). Her designs also include The Secretaries, The Commencement of William Tan, Beginners by Raymond Carver, What We Talk About When We Talk About LoveWe Fight We Die and A New Saint for A New World (Yale Cabaret). Her assistant credits include ArcadiaThe Fairytale Lives of Russian Girls (Yale Repertory Theatre) and The Visit (Yale School of Drama).

Prior to Yale, Jean was an illustrator and muralist based in New York City. During her RISD era, she wrote, directed and produced “RISD: the Musical” which sparked her first love for dramatic and collaborative art.
